Provo, Utah - Brigham Young University Mary Lou Fulton Mentored Research Conference Banquet

I presented some research on marriage and depression at the Mary Lou Fulton Mentored Research Conference at BYU recently, and took this photo with a Mamiya c330 medium format twin lens reflex camera. This thing is heavy and VERY hard to focus. On top of that, it has no light meter, so I guessed on this exposure. It was probably 1/250 at f/2.8 indoors.

Provo, Utah - Bridal Shoot

In our portfolio building process we decided to shoot "anniversary bridals" of yours truly. I had fun putting on my dress again, especially since I've had a child and the dress fit better than the first time around! My dress was handmade by my mother.

Nicole Hill Gerulat Workshop

I recently attended the Photo 101 workshop by Nicole Hill. It was great! I especially enjoyed learning about lighting for headshots. After attending the workshop, I took these headshots on 35mm film (since I'm a film junkie!)at a family get-together for Memorial Day. I always used to be afraid to get in people's faces to take pictures. I'm right up in their grills now.
