I'm really proud of this photo. I framed the subject in with a ring of trees. It was shot on Fuji Pro 400H film (220) with a Bronica ETRSi, 40mm lens. Very minor adjustments in post processing. This is almost exactly as it came off of the scan from the negative.

Hello. I love this shot!
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to say 'hi' and tell you about something funny that happened today. I'm surprised we haven't crossed paths yet. I was at the Wilk today picking up some film from the BYU lab and your order was sitting there on the counter. (Side note--have you had good results from them? I feel like some of my orders are great and some not so great)
Then I went to the ASB to order a transcript and they charged your account on accident (but don't worry, I fixed it). I'm guessing they must have helped you just before they helped me.
Anyway, good work. I'm now following your blog. I love learning about great local photogs that I can network with and gain inspiration from!
Hey Alli, Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThat is HILARIOUS! We must have been SO close to seeing each other today. I went, got my film, then went to the ASB to get a transcript myself. How funny. I'm applying to faculty positions--it's that time of year. :) I guess you're close to done with law school then?
Yeah I'm at the BYU lab about twice a week (usually Mondays and Tuesdays). They've been pretty good, although it does seem to depend on whose behind the scanner. Occasionally I got horrid scans, but the price is right :) Generally I feel pretty good about the work they do. I tried a couple other local labs and didn't see any big differences, except in price.
Enjoy the workshop, you earned it. You totally kicked my butt :) That was more stress than I normally like taking on. ;) Now that the competition is over, we can be friends, lol!
I'm following your blog too :) We should be facebook friends.
